Virginian-Pilot, September 17, 1885
The funeral of Mrs. Anne B. Whitehurst took place from her late residence, No. 
2 Fenchurch Street, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, and was very largely 
attended. The services were conducted by Rev. J. M. Anderson, of the Cumberland 
Street M. E. Church, of which the deceased was a member, and were of a very 
impressive character. At their conclusion the remains were borne to Elmwood
Cemetery, and there laid away. The following gentlemen acted as pall bearers: Dr. F.
A.
