Virginian-Pilot, September 14, 1904
The remains of Percy J. Whitehurst, who died in Savannah, Ga., arrived here 
over the Seaboard railroad Monday at 5 p.m. and were met by his mother, Mrs. 
Addie D. Whitehurst, and his sister, Mrs. Jackson Brandt, of Baltimore, Md., 
and other relatives. The interment was in the family lot in Elmwood Cemetery. 
The services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Joseph Rennie, of the First 
Presbyterian Church. The pall-bearers were personal friends of the deceased.
