The Virginian Pilot April 24, 1964

George DuPuy Whitehurst, retired banker, a son of the late William Lee and 
Mrs. Mollie DuPuy Whitehurst and a lifelong resident of this section, died 
Wednesday in a hospital.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Cecil R. White, Mrs. Robert J. Upton and Mrs. 
Indie W. Wolfinger of Norfolk and Mrs. William V. Baker of Virginia Beach; 
four brothers, Frank P. Whitehurst of Norfolk and Grayson M. Whitehurst, Dupuy 
E. Whitehurst and William Lee Whitehurst of Virginia Beach.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood 
Cemetery for a private burial service today.
