Virginian Pilot February 5, 1947


Mrs. Mollie Virginia Whitehurst, widow of George E. Whitehurst died at Jackson, 
Tenn., yesterday at 2 p.m.
She is survived by a son, Albert E. Whitehurst and a grandson, A.E. Whitehurst, 
Jr., both of Jackson; a sister V.T. Land, of Norfolk, and a brother, J.Glenn 
Petree, of Princess Anne County.
Mrs. Whitehurst was a former resident of Norfolk and an active member of the 
Brambleton Avenue Methodist Church until she moved to Jackson several years ago.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Friday at 
11 a.m. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
