Virginian Pilot December 23, 1993

Marjorie Garner Whitehurst, 87, of the 100 block of Rolfe Terrace, died Dec. 21, 
1993, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was born in Portsmouth and was the widow of George Reynolds Whitehurst. She 
was a member of Port Norfolk Baptist Church.
She is survived by two brothers, James L. Garner of Portsmouth and Clarence E. 
Garner of Suffolk; six nieces and two nephews.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, by the 
Rev. James A. Lowe. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the 
Port Norfolk Baptist Church. Loving Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
