Whitehurst, a native of Princess Anne county and a resident of Norfolk for 50 years, died at 4:40 p.m. yesterday at his residence, 609 Boissevain avenue. He was 63 years old, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and of the Pocahontas council, Royal Arcanum. He leaves a widow, two daughters, Miss Jessie Whitehurst and Mrs. W. Bernam Jones, both of Norfolk; two brothers, W. J. Whitehurst, of Richmond, and S.J. Whitehurst of Norfolk; two sisters, Miss Virginia Whitehurst and Mrs. Randall Barrett, both of Norfolk. He was president of the R.W. Whitehurst Company, which deals in agricultural implements. He had been ill since last October.
