He was born in Norfolk and lived here all his life; the son of the late William E. and Catherine Margaret Godfrey Whitehurst. Mr. Whitehurst is survived by one sister, Mrs. H.H. Butler, of Suffolk; two nieces, Mrs. C.B. Duke and Mrs. Ethel Butler Saunders, of Suffolk, and one nephew, Capt. Amos J. Carr. of Portland, Maine. The body was removed to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1207 Chesapeake avenue, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
