Norfolk - Edward W. White Jr. of 909 Johnston Road, the husband of Mrs. Ruth 
White, died Friday in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Mrs. Mary White and the late Edward W. 
White Sr.

He worked for Norfolk State College.

Besides his widow and mother, surviving are four sons, Ronnie White, Donnie 
White, Anthony White and Bryan White, and four brothers, Roosevelt Hill, Eugene 
White, Bryant Gill, and Robert Smith, all of Norfolk; A sister, Mrs. Gertrude 
Ketter of Raleigh, NC, and a grandchild.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Jerusalem Baptist 
Church by the Rev. T. F. Venable. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves 
Funeral Home in charge. The body will be in church at noon Wednesday.
