F. WHITEMAN FOUND DEAD Coroner Kight Declares Alcoholism Responsible --Pitiable Story Is Told by Widow C.F. Whiteman, 51 years old, was found dead in his home, corner Twelfth street and Mahone avenue, yesterday afternoon at 5:40 o'clock on the floor by the side of a chair in which he had been sitting. Coroner Kight, after viewing the remains and hearing the story of his family, declared death due to alcoholism. Mrs. Whiteman, widow of the deceased, who is suffering from an attack of the grip, related a pitiable story last night of the bitter experience which his habits had caused her. She said that he left home yesterday morning early, she in bed, and never saw him alive again. She was called to the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.D. Turbyfill, a short distance away and was there when notified of his death. He came home during her absence and died alone. The chair in which he had seated himself was turned over as he had fallen from it. The remains were turned over to Funeral Director Cox for interment.
