Funeral services will be held at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, Thirty-fifth street at Colonial avenue, THIS (Thursday) AFTERNOON, July 2, 1935, at 4 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend, Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. ************** John Clifton Whiteman - Funeral services for Mr .Whiteman, aged 58, husband of Mrs. Carrie Estella Whiteman, who died Sunday at a local hospital, will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, Thirty-fifth street at Colonial avenue, this afternoon at 4 o'clock, the Rev. William E. Callender, chaplain, U.S.P.H.S. officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Besides his wife, Mr. Whiteman is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Winifred Mitchell, of Goldsboro, N.C. and Mrs. Nellie Nealies, of Richmond; four sons, Richard L. Whiteman, of Smithfield and Julian O., John B. and Nathan G. Whiteman, of Edenton, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. L.A.. Gunter and Mrs. H.M. Burroughs of Norfolk and Mrs. O.D. Murray, of Brooklyn and seven grandchildren. Mr. Whiteman was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church.
