Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, August 11, 1990 
Hiram White Sr., of the 2900 block of Hollister Ave., a retired chauffeur, died
Aug. 10, 1990, in a hospital.

Mr. White, a native of Norfolk, was a member and deacon of Jerusalem Baptist
Church.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Booker White; three daughters, Gloria
White-Hill of Virginia Beach, Gilda White-Cherry of Norfolk and Gail
White-Steele of Trenton, N.J.; six sons, the Rev. Hiram G. White Jr., Maurice C.
White Sr. and Wayland J. White Sr., all of Norfolk, the Rev. Stephen H. White
Sr., the Rev. Eugene D. White Sr. and Albert C. White, all of Chesapeake; two
sisters, Rebecca Spencer of Pennsylvania and Mary Holloway of Norfolk; a
brother, Abel White of Norfolk; and 21 grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Jerusalem Baptist Church by
the Rev. Thomas A. Venable. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will
be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Friends may join the family at the residence.
Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
