Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, May 31, 1994 
Abel James White Sr., 82, of the 700 block of W. 37th St., died May 29, 1994, in
his home.

Mr. White was the widower of Rosa B. White.

Survivors include two daughters, Rosalind W. Richter of Chesapeake and Linda W.
Smith of Norfolk; three sons, J. Abel White Jr. of Portsmouth, Arthur C. White
and Anthony A. White, both of Norfolk; one sister, Mary W. Holloway of Norfolk;
nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Talbot Park Baptist Church,
Norfolk, by Dr. Hiram G. White Jr. and Dr. Tim Dixon. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Friends may join the family at 309 Bertwick Lane, Chesapeake. Hale
Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
