Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, January 18, 1996 
Margaret J. Whitfield, 90, of the 600 block of Kingsborough Square, died Jan.
17, 1996, in Chesapeake Health Care.

Mrs. Whitfield, the widow of Preston Whitfield, was a native of North Carolina.
She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Norfolk.

Survivors include two sons, Archie A. Whitfield of Virginia Beach, Paul
Whitfield of Norfolk; a sister, Ruth Thompson of La Grange, N.C.; two
daughters-in-law, Ella Whitfield of Norfolk, Barbara Whitfield of Virginia
Beach; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Antioch Baptist Church by
Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be
from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Pretlow's Funeral Home. Family and friends will
assemble at 5582 Deepdale Drive in Norfolk at 10:15 a.m. for the procession to
the church.
