Helen C. Whitney, a native of Norfolk, died November 9, 2018, at Carlton Shores
Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Florida. Whitney, 84, was born April 22,1934 to
James Henry Eure and Thelma Garris Eure, 

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Valerie Whitney-Lowery (Wallace); two
sons Noble L. Whitney Jr. (Belinda) and Terry L. Whitney (Margie) and a brother
Luther Thomas Eure Sr. (Doris). She also leaves 5 grandchildren and 1
great-grandchild, as well as a host of other family members. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at New Calvary Baptist Church, 800 E.
Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk. Metropolitan Funeral Home is in charge.
