Miss Catherine Whitney - The funeral of Miss Catherine Whitney, three-year-old 
daughter of Charlie and Catherine E. Whitney, was held at Hale’s Chapel on July 14 
with the Rev. E. W. Williams officiating. She was fatally injured July 9 in a 
collision with an automobile. She was born in Norfolk. Interment was made in 
Calvary Cemetery.
