Virginian Pilot March 28, 1989

Hunter Morse Whitson, 52, of the 400 block of Forrest Ave., a chief scheduler, 
died March 26, 1989, in a hospital.
Mr. Whitson, a native of Norfolk, was employed with Global Technology Systems 
for 26 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Glover Whitson, and two sons, Stephen D. 
Whitson and Todd H. Whitson, both of Norfolk.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church by the Rev. John E. Leonard. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery. There will be a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m. today in 
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.

WHITSON, HUNTER MORSE - In a Norfolk hospital Sunday, HUNTER MORSE WHITSON, 
husband of Mrs. Kathryn Glover Whitson and son of the late William D. and Mrs. 
Ovasey Powers Whitson, in the 52nd year of his age. A Mass of the Resurrection 
will be celebrated today at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by 
Father John E. Leonard. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
