Erich passed away September 16, 2025 in a rehab center in Alexandria, Virginia, 
after complications from heart transplant surgery. He was born in Portsmouth, 
Virginia. He was residing in Springfield, Virginia, after retiring from working 
in business development and as contract proposal manager in government subject 
matters.
He was a kind, caring husband, brother, son and friend to everyone. He had a 
lifelong love of the water and fishing.
Erich was preceded in death by his parents, Justine and Norman Whitt. He is 
survived by his wife of 24 years, Cherry. Also, his siblings, Kathryn Hatfield, 
Mark Whitt and Cindi Kline, all of Virginia Beach. Erich had one child, Amanda 
Whitt of Virginia Beach also.
He will be cremated and will lay to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in 
Norfolk, VA.

8750 Pohick Rd, Springfield, VA 22163.
