Virginian-Pilot June 8, 1921
The body of Mrs. Elizabeth Whittemore, widow of Park Whittemore, former well-
known resident of Norfolk, was brought to this city at 6:10 o’clock last night 
from Washington, where she died Sunday morning. Funeral services were conducted 
in St. Paul’s Catholic Church at Washington yesterday morning. Upon arrival here
the body was taken to H. D. Oliver’s undertaking establishment, 610-612 East 
Freemason street, from which it will be taken at 11 o’clock this morning to St. 
Mary’s Cemetery for burial. Rev. P. P. Brennan, of St. Mary’s Church, will 
officiate. She is survived by two daughters, Mary E. and Sarah A. Whittemore, 
and two sons, John E. and Joseph F. Whittemore, all of Washington, where the 
family has lived several years.
