Henry Whyte This estimable lady's death, occurring about 10 o'clock yesterday morning, was a great shock to her family and friends. Although Mrs. Whyte had been sick for a short time, no immediate danger was apprehended by her family. Shortly before her death she was taken with a fit of coughing and her husband, being near at hand, gave her a drink of water. After drinking she fell asleep--that sleep which "knows no waking." Her husband, entirely unconscious that the end was nigh, retired, only to learn upon arising for the day that his beloved wife had passed away, quietly, peacefully, calmly. Capt. Whyte, upon arising, brought up breakfast for his wife and it was then that the awful discovery of her death was made. The physician summoned said she had been dead some hours and pronounced heart disease as the cause. Mrs. Whyte was about 59 years of age; throughout life had been a most kind and lovable lady, member of St. Luke's P.E. Church, a devout Christian worker. Her husband and four children mourn her loss--three daughters, Mrs. W.W. Dey, Mrs. Joseph Batts, Mrs. Clarence Tebault and one son, Mr. W.W. Whyte, who lives at Elkhorn, W. Va., who has been telegraphed for. The funeral arrangements will depend upon his arrival. It will probably take place from the residence, on East Main Street. *********************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. Bettie M.
