The Virginian Pilot June 2, 1958
Fred C. Wickens, 74, 1115 Perry St., South Norfolk, died Sunday at 4:15 p.m. in 
a Norfolk hospital after an illness of eight months.
A native of Berkley, and a lifelong resident of this section, he was the son of 
the late George W. and Sarah Pell Wickens and husband of Mrs. Edna V. Hatchell 
Wickens.  Besides his wife, he is survived by one stepdaughter, Mrs. Arthur L. 
Martin of South Norfolk; one stepson, O.L. Hatchell of South Norfolk; one 
brother, George J. Wickens of Panama, and two stepgrandchildren.
The body was removed to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, where services will be 
conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
