WICKS, son of the late Captain E.F. and Mrs. Sarah M. Wicks, Chuckatuck, Nansemond County, aged 71 years and 3 months. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence TUESDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock and burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery. Wicks - Funeral services for Mr. Wicks, who died at his home, 200 West Berkley Avenue, Sunday morning, after a brief illness, were conducted at the residence yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. T.H. Dimmock, the retiring pastor of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiated and was assisted by the Rev. W.L. Murphy, pastor of Memorial Methodist Church. Mrs. Haslet, P.M. Pritchard, R.B. Duncan and Mrs. C.S. Shuford, accompanied by Mrs. R.A. McCoy, sang "The Home of the Soul." The pallbearers were Herman and Dallas Williams, Irving and Raymond Wicks, W.E. Gibbs and C.J. Sweetman, Harry Chewning, Jr. and Clarence Sawyer. Burial was in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
