Virginian Pilot September 29, 1906

One of the saddest deaths that has visited this community in many months 
occurred at the home of Charles E. Wicks yesterday morning at 7:30 o'clock when 
his 19-year daughter, Miss Grace Wicks, passed away.
The sadness was deepened all the more in that it follows so closely upon the 
death of an older sister, which occurred but a few months ago.
Miss Wicks was very popular, possessing a host of friends.
She was born and reared in Berkley.
The funeral will be conducted from the residence, 128 Berkley avenue, Sunday 
afternoon.  The hour to be named later.

The funeral of the late Miss Grace Douglass Wicks, daughter of Charles E. Wicks, 
will take place at the family residence, 128 Berkley avenue, this afternoon at 4 
o'clock.
