Virginian Pilot October 24, 1901

WICKS - Yesterday morning at 7:30 o'clock, October 23d, 1901, WILLIAM ALONZA, 
the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. H.I. Wicks, aged 11 months.
Funeral THIS (Thursday) AFTERNOON at 4 o'clock from the residence, on Berkley 
Avenue.

The funeral of William Alonza, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. H.I. Wicks, was 
conducted from the family residence, on Berkley Avenue, yesterday afternoon at 4 
o'clock by Rev. R.M. Chandler, pastor of Centenary M.E. Church, Norfolk. The 
services were very largely attended and many  beautiful flowers, in evidence of 
kindly feeling, were brought by loving and sympathizing friends and laid on and 
about the casket that enveloped all that was mortal of their beloved son. At the 
conclusion of the services the remains were laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery.
