A native of Norfolk she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Mrs. Fannie Foster Wicks and the stepdaughter of the late Mrs. Helen Slaymaker Wicks. She worked for the newspapers most of her adult life and retired. She was a member of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church and a former member of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church in Berkley, where she taught in the Youth Division and was president of the Margaret Bottome Circle. She studied art and music at Philips and West Academy. Surviving are several cousins. The body will be taken from Cox Funeral Home to Magnolia Cemetery for a funeral service Tuesday at 1 p.m. by Dr. William L. Wilson of Royster Memorial Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the King's Daughters Children's Hospital.
