Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 30, 1950
Jacob Lloyd Widgeon, 90, of Route 3, Deep Creek, died at 11:18 a.m. yesterday in 
a Portsmouth hospital.  He was a former resident of Berkley.
He was the son of the late Jacob and Mrs. Elizabeth Ives Widgeon and husband of 
the late Mrs. Georgianna Rutter Widgeon.  He was a member of the First Nazarene 
Church of Berkley.  He was a retired storekeeper for the Norfolk Southern 
Railroad.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roland L. Garrett, of Elizabeth City, N.C. and 
Mrs. S.A. Cuthriell, of Deep Creek; a sister, Miss Annie Widgeon, of Norfolk; 
two grandsons, the Rev. F.A. Cuthriell, Jr., of Elizabeth City and Alva 
Cuthriell, of Deep Creek and a granddaughter, Miss Barbara Cuthriell, of Deep 
Creek.
The body was taken to Snellings Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 
3:30 p.m. tomorrow in the First Church of the Nazarene in Berkley.  Burial will 
be in Magnolia Cemetery in Norfolk.
The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m.
