 Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 16, 1994
Alice Virginia Wiggins, 87, of the 1400 block of Shipp Ave., died March 13, 
1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. 
Mrs. Wiggins was born in Norfolk. She was the daughter of the late Mary 
Askew Perkins and Jacob Perkins and was the widow of Anthony Wiggins. She 
had been a domestic worker and was a member of National Baptist Church in 
Norfolk, where she was an usher and member of the Gospel Choir. 
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ida Wiggins of Norfolk; one sister, 
Bernice Winslow of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother, Alexander Perkins of East 
Orange, N.J.; three grandchildren, Walter King of Newport News, Josephine 
Morgan and Mary King, both of Norfolk; and three great-grandchildren. 
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, 
Norfolk, by the Rev. Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. 
Viewing will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, 
Norfolk.
