Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, July 31, 1997 
Marie ``Sister'' Wiggins, formerly of the 1200 block of St. Julian Ave., died
July 28, 1997.

She was a native of Norfolk.

Survivors include her daughter, Rosa McKinney; two grandchildren; sisters,
Bernice Collins, Mary Whitley, Sarah Wiggins, Loretta Carpenter; brothers,
Samuel Wiggins of Compton, Calif., Barney Wiggins, Roland Wiggins; aunt, Viola
R. Whitlock; uncles, Daniel Russell of Portsmouth, N.H., Wilson P. Russell of
Roxbury, Mass; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mark Baptist Church by
the Rev. E. Phillips. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Graves Funeral Home
is in charge. The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Mary
Whitley, 629 W. 38th St. The processional will leave from there.
