Mrs. Wilbon was born in Norfolk, the daughter of the late William and Virginia McNamara. She graduated from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in New York City, and served as a nurse in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She continued her nursing career in the clinic at DePaul Hospital in Norfolk and retired from an OB/GYN practice in Chesapeake. A loving wife and mother, she leaves her husband of 58 years, John B. Wilbon; three daughters, Cathy Evancik, Carol Burlingame and Claire Grabow; three sons, William Rampey, John B. Wilbon Jr. and James Wilbon; and 12 grandchildren. Mrs. Wilbon is also survived by a brother, William McNamara. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Norfolk by Father David L. Nott. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. There will be a gathering of family and friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, Tuesday from 7 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 919 N.
