The Virginian Pilot Thursday August 16, 1962
Mrs. Eloise Owens Wilcox, wife of Edward W. Wilcox Jr. and daughter of George 
Manson and Mrs. Matilda Wells Owens, died Wednesday at 2:30 a.m. in a Norfolk 
hospital.
A native of Charleston S.C., she lived 50 years in Norfolk, where she was a member 
of Epworth Methodist Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Joseph L. Owens of 
East St. Louis, Ill.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Friday at 3:30 
p.m. by the Rev. Reuben W. Blevins, associate pastor of Epworth Methodist Church.  
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
