The Virginian Pilot February 14, 1983
Pauline Timberlake Wiley, 78, of 268 E. 39th St., a native of Palmyra, Mo., and 
the widow of Samuel Finsthwaite Wiley, died Saturday in a hospital.
A teacher, she was retired from the Norfolk public schools system after 30 
years of service and was a member of Beta Beta chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma and 
Episcopal Church of the Ascension.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan W. Brown of Frankfort, Ky., and Sara W. 
Cherry of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Episcopal Church of the Ascension 
by the Rev. William L. Russell.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.  The 
family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 9 
p.m. today.  Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
