He was the son of the late Jefferson and Mrs. Matilda Wilkerson and a native of Norfolk but had been a resident of Philadelphia for several years being employed with the Pennsylvania Railroad. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Alvilda Larsen Wilkerson; one sister, Mrs. Mary W. Sharp, of Norfolk; a half-sister, Mrs. Martha Ellis, of Morrisville, Pa. and one brother, Samuel Wilkerson, of Norfolk. He was a member of the 112th Machine Gun Company in the World War and also a member of the American Legion. The body will be brought to Norfolk and taken to the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road. Notice of funeral will appear later. ************************************************ Jefferson Wilkerson- Funeral services for Mr. Wilkerson, who died at League Island Naval Hospital, Philadelphia, Saturday, January 5, will be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road. The Rev. R.B. Grinnan of Colley Avenue Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
