H. WILKINS DIED LAST NIGHT Well Known Real Estate Man and Native of City -- Son of Late C.L. Wilkins Charles H. Wilkins died at his home, Thirty-ninth street, Riverview, at 12:30 a.m. yesterday morning after a short illness, in the 29th year of his age. The deceased was the senior member of the real estate firm of Charles H. Wilkins and Company of this city. His fatal illness dated from only last Saturday and his sudden and untimely death is a severe blow to his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Agnes E. Wilkins and an only sister, Mrs. A.F. Roux, both of Norfolk. The following committee is requested to attend the funeral of our late member, Charles H. Wilkins, which will be held today, Friday the 21st at 4 p.m. from his late residence, 39th street, Riverview. Robt. F. Baldwin, A.J. Hall, E.J. Gorman, Abbott Morris, Chas. McDermott, J.B.N. Cornick, J.W. Martin, W.McC. Moore, Earnest H. Meeks, Samuel Hodges, W.T. Kirby, H.S. Gibson and W.L. Baker. ********************************************************************* The obsequies of the late Charles H. Wilkins was held from the family residence, Thirty-ninth street, Riverview, at 4 o'clock p.m. yesterday and was attended by a large concourse of the friends of the deceased, including a committee from the Board of Trade and Business Men's Association, of which Mr. Wilkins was a member. There was a magnificent display of floral tributes, including a beautiful lyre from the Norfolk Real Estate and Stock Exchange, with which organization Mr. Wilkins was connected. The service was conducted by Rev. Graham H. Lambeth of the Ghent Methodist Church. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
