The Virginian Pilot Tuesday October 18, 1960
H. S. WILKINS, BAKING FIRM CHIEF, DIES

Harold Sidney Wilkins, 66, of 1330 Upper Brandon Place, manager for Maryland 
Biscuit Co. here until retirement two years ago, died in a Norfolk hospital 
Sunday at 11:15 p.m.
He was a charter member of Norfolk Cosmopolitan Club and a member of Larchmont 
Methodist Church and the Peek Bible Class.  He had been active in Owen Lodge 
164, AF & AM, Norfolk United Royal Arch Chapter 1, Norfolk Scottish Rite, 
Khedive Shrine Temple, Grice Commandery 16, Knights Templar, and the Century 
Club.
The son of Sidney S. and Carrie Wilkins, he was a native of Elizabeth City and 
had resided in Norfolk most of his life.  
Mrs. Vernice Miller Wilkins, his widow, survives.
A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Wednesday at 4 
p.m. with burial in Cedar Grove cemetery.  The family asks that flowers be 
omitted.
