Mr. John T. Wilkins, one of Norfolk’s best known barbers died at his residence, 
868 Avenue A, July 12th, after a brief illness. His funeral was held from the 
First Baptist Church, Sunday July 14th at two o’clock and was largely attended. 
There were many beautiful floral offerings. The remains were laid to rest in 
Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Wilkins is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pinkie Wilkins and one 
son, Russell Wilkins.
