NORFOLK - Halford J. Wilkinson (Hal) passed away peacefully at home Monday July 9. 
Hal grew up in Oconomowoc WI but was a longtime resident of Norfolk, a city he 
absolutely adored. An insurance agent in his professional years, after he retired 
he became an artist, a schoolteacher and an actor, acting in several popular TV 
shows and movies. Hal volunteered for nearly all of the area's Arts organizations, 
giving generously of his time back to the community he loved. An accomplished 
artist he won several coveted awards for his paintings. Hal also studied for and 
earned his designation as a Master Docent through The Chrysler Museum of Art. For 
all this, Hal was awarded the prestigious Alli Award as Philanthropist of the 
Year. Hal is predeceased by wife Gloria, and is survived by wife Sandy, daughters 
Margaret (John) Petitjean, Martha Wilkinson, Patty (Brad) Merker, Brigid (Eric) 
Leonetti and Kate (Greg) Graff. A Memorial Service will be at Blessed Sacrament, 
6400 Newport Ave, Norfolk, Thursday July 12 at 7pm, with reception to follow. View
