Virginian Pilot January 25, 1991

John Shepard "Shep" Wilkinson, 82, of the 100 block of Orange Ave., a retired 
painting contractor, died Jan. 24, 1991, in a hospital.
Mr. Wilkinson, a native of Norfolk, was the widower of Emily Wise Wilkinson. He 
was a member of Ruth Masonic Lodge 89.
Survivors include a daughter, Emily W. Lee of Norfolk; two sons, John Wilkinson 
Jr. and David B. Wilkinson, both of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren and 
three great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Elmwood Cemetery 
by the Rev. James H. Nowell. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today 
in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, and other times at the home of 
Emily Lee, 209 Lucian Court.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
