Virginia Beach-Mrs. Amanda Blanche Drumwright Williams, 99, of 4600 Princess 
Anne Road, the widow of Thomas Edgar Williams and a native of Cismont, 
Albemarle County, died Saturday in her home.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church since 1895, when it was Park 
Avenue Baptist Church, and a life member of the Woman’s Christian Temperance 
Union. She was also a member of Elizabeth Chapman 45, Order of the Eastern 
Star. 
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Stanley B. Weiss of Navado, Calif.; two 
sons, Marshall A. Williams of Virginia Beach and Melvin B. Williams of 
Norfolk; 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 
Kempsville Chapel, by Dr. Luther M. Dorr Sr. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. 
The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall A. Williams, 4600 
Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach.
