Norfolk - Mrs. Beatrice Williamson Williams, 66, of 846 Goff St., died Sunday at
1 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness.

A native of Reidsville, NC, she was a daughter of James B. and Dora E.
Williamson and the widow of John B. Williams, and had lived in Norfolk over 50
years. She was a member of Temple 1-A, Independent Benevolent Protective Order
of Elks of the World; the United Order of Tents and the National Council of
Negro Women.

She was a member of St. John's A.M.E. Church, where she taught Sunday school for
over 20 years and served on its stewardess board.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mildred Chance of Norfolk; a brother, Dr. Gammond
H. Williamson of Norfolk, three nieces and three nephews.

The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held in
St. John's Church Wednesday at noon by the Rev. W. L. Hildebrand, pastor, with
burial in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m.
