A native of Reidsville, NC, she was a daughter of James B. and Dora E. Williamson and the widow of John B. Williams, and had lived in Norfolk over 50 years. She was a member of Temple 1-A, Independent Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World; the United Order of Tents and the National Council of Negro Women. She was a member of St. John's A.M.E. Church, where she taught Sunday school for over 20 years and served on its stewardess board. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mildred Chance of Norfolk; a brother, Dr. Gammond H. Williamson of Norfolk, three nieces and three nephews. The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held in St. John's Church Wednesday at noon by the Rev. W. L. Hildebrand, pastor, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
