He was a son of the late Balom and Mrs. Rosetta Suggs Williams. A native of Tarboro, NC, he lived in Norfolk 18 years and worked for the Hampton Roads Sanitation District Commission the last eight years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Doris W. Williams; one step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Holmes, an adopted daughter, Mrs. Josie Williams of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Freeman of Tarboro, Miss Lizzie Williams and Miss Willie Ane Williams of Philadelphia; three brothers, David Williams of Princess Anne County, Robert Williams and Johnnie Williams of Tarboro; and one grandson. The body was taken to Baker Funeral Home, Oakwood. A funeral service will be held in Brotherly Love Church of God in Christ, Titustown, today at 3 p.m. by Elder W. M. Willis, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
