Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday August 8, 1943
George Herman Williams, aged 62, died yesterday morning at a local hospital 
after an illness of two weeks. He was a native of Berkley and had spent all 
of his life in Berkley and Norfolk. He was a son of the late George Dallas 
and Alice Ann Wicks Williams and a member of Memorial Methodist Church.
Surviving him are one son, Lieut Herman Mastin Williams, USNR; one daughter, 
Mrs. Margaret Williams Rucker, Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. J.O. 
Wiggs, Berkley; one grandchild; one niece and two nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover 
avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The Rev. Charles E. Green, 
pastor of Memorial Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the 
family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
