Norfolk - Funeral rites for Edward F. Williams of 839 Fremont street were 
held in St. John AME Church Feb. 10.  The Rev. A. R. Powell officiated.

Mr. Williams, husband of Mrs. Bessie Williams died Feb. 5 after a long 
illness.  He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.  He was a member 
of St. John AME Church and Eureka Lodge.

Besides his wife, surviving are four grandchildren;  eight great-
grandchildren;  and a cousin, Mrs. Bessie Russell.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
