Chesapeake - Mrs. Ophelia Fitchett Williams, 47, of 1644 Rhodes avenue, the 
wife of Marshall B. Williams Sr., died in Norfolk General Hospital after a 
short illness.

She was a nurses’ aid at Norfolk General.

A native of Norfolk County, she ws a daughter of the late Charlie S. and 
Mrs. Addie J. Fitchett.

She was a member of Providence United Church of Christ.

Besides her husband, surviving are a son, Marshall B. Williams Jr., two 
daughters, Mrs. Ophelia B. Custis and Miss Mischelle B. Williams, two 
sisters,  Mrs. Beatrice F. Harrell and Mrs. Bernice F. Williams, and two 
brothers, Floyd E.Fitchett Sr. and Clarence N. Fitchett, all of Chesapeake.

A funeral service was held in Providence United Church of Christ by the Rev. 
Vaurice Chambers.   Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in 
charge.
