 NORFOLK - On Friday Oct. 21, 2011, Hattie Victoria  Williams departed this 
life for a peaceful life with her heavenly father. She was born Dec. 17, 
1944 the tenth of fifteen children to Cody and Victoria Jones of Lamberts 
Point. Hattie was predeceased by her parents, three children, Victor, Stacey 
and Angela. She had seven siblings Ella, Thomasine, Thomas Jr., William, 
Isaac, Judge and Derrick. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, 
Maurice Jones and Kenyon Jones; nine grandchildren Demetria, lil Victor, 
Crystal, Anthony, Thomas, Ciara, Tiana and Kyla, 12 great-grandchildren, 
five sisters and two brothers Georgia (Lionel), Harriet (Joseph) Kay, 
Ursula, Francena (George) Edward, Russell (Gloria) and a host of nieces and 
nephews. Mrs. Williams retired after 20 years as a food service manager 
where she expressed her love through her food. She was a mother and nurturer 
to all who seeked her loving advice. The family will gather on Monday, Oct. 
31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Metropolitan Funeral Service on Granby Street in 
Norfolk. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 1, at St. Marks RUZA on 
Colonial and Spotswood Avenue in Norfolk. The family will assemble at the
