Norfolk - A funeral service was held Sunday in First Calvary Baptist Church for 
Robert J. Williams of 727 Clay avenue.  The Rev. C. E. Griffin officiated.  
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Humphries Funeral Home in charge.  Mr. 
Williams died Feb. 7 in a hospital after a short illness

A native of Burgaw, NC, he was a son of Mrs. Mary F. Williams Jones and the late 
John Williams and the husband of Mrs. Marjorie Williams.  He worked for Jet and 
Company four years and was a member of Progressive Masonic Lodge 7.

Besides his widow and mother, surviving are two sons, Dudley E. Williams of 
Norfolk and Kennedy Williams of New York;  three daughters, Mrs. Mary Menurthy 
of Norfolk, Mrs. Louise Stockhouse of Brooklyn and Mrs. Mildred Uzzle of Mt. 
Olive, NC;  two brothers, John Henry Williams of Norfolk and Eddie Williams of 
Philadelphia;  two sisters, Mrs. Mary Williams of Norfolk and Mrs. Sadie Winston 
of Philadelphia and 19 grandchildren.
