Final rites for Modie S. Williams were conducted March 30 at First Calvary 
Baptist Church by the pastor, the Rev. C. E. Griffin.

Mr. Williams was employed by the Baltimore Ship Company and died in a Baltimore 
hospital March 26 at the age of 64.  In Norfolk, he resided at 814 Lombard 
Street.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha Williams;  one son, two daughters, and one 
sister.  A veteran of World War 1,he was buried with full military honors in 
Calvary Cemetery.  Riddick's funeral service was in charge of arrangements.
