NORFOLK - Dollie E . Williams of the 1000 block of Lindenwood Ave. passed away 
Oct. 11, 2006. She was born Oct. 3, 1913, to Annie and Eddie Spencer in Emporia, 
Va. During her early years, she attended elementary school in Emporia, but later 
moved to Norfolk, where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. 
There she met and later married Herman C. Williams . 

A former member of First Calvary Baptist Church, Dollie was a devout Christian. 
Most of her time was spent reading and discussing the Bible and watching 
religious television. 

Dollie was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother, Turner J. 
and her husband, Herman. Cherishing memories of her life are two nephews, Gene 
A. Spencer of Washington, D.C., and Turner M. Spencer of Hampton; special 
cousin, Marian Mitchell Turner of New Jersey and Florida; other cousins and 
relatives; special caregivers, Lendoria Allen, Lucia Hernden, Patrecia Sue 
Weaver; special confidant, BeBe Buchanin of Maine; along with generous neighbors 
and many kind friends. 

The service will be held Monday at noon at Riddick Funeral Service, 1225 Norview 
Ave., with Bishop John Savage officiating. The viewing will be Sunday from 1 to 
6 p.m. and the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. 
The funeral will assemble at 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home on Monday. Burial 
will be in Calvary Cemetery.
