Norfolk Journal and Guide, Oct 21,1961
Mrs. Mamie P. Williams, Sunday school teacher, church woman and employee of a 
local shoe firm, died Oct. 10.  She was give funeral rites Oct. 16 at New 
Calvary Baptist Church with the pastor, Elder S. A. Wilson, officiating.

A native of Norfolk, the daughter of the late Josiah and Priscilla Pugh, Mrs. 
Williams had long held membership at New Calvary and taught in the Sabbath 
school there.

Her survivors include a husband, Edward Williams, a daughter, Mrs. Prisilla 
Coleman of New York;  two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Mourning of New York and Mrs. 
Sterling Desmond of New York;  and a brother, Joe L. Pugh of Chicago.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral home in charge of 
arrangements.
