Norfolk - Edward Ned Williams of 1408 Virginia Beach boulevard was given final 
rites Tuesday at Hale Funeral Home.  An employee of Atlantic Coast Line 
Railroad for 47 years, Mr. Williams died July 22 at his home.

The Rev. F. P. Wise officiated at the service for the Portsmouth native.  
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Williams;  three sisters, 
Mrs. Marie Hill of New York, Mrs. Inez Harris and Mrs. Mary W. Anderson of 
Norfolk;  and three brothers, Junius, Benjamin and Theodore Williams of 
Norfolk.
