Park avenue, Sunday, July 2, 1911, at 4:50 a.m., PETER B. WILLIAMSON, aged 52 years. The funeral will take place TUESDAY, July 4, 1911, at 11 a.m. from the above residence. Friends of the family invited to attend. Peter B. Williamson died suddenly at his home, 120 North Park avenue, Brambleton, at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, in the 53rd year of his age. Mr. Williamson went to his home on Saturday after he had finished his day's business in apparent excellent health and was taken suddenly ill after retiring, expiring at the home already named. He was well known and highly esteemed in Norfolk and his sudden passing will be learned with deep sorrow by his many friends. The funeral will be held from his late residence at 11 o'clock a.m. Tuesday. *************************************************** The funeral of Peter B. Williamson will be held from his late residence, 120 North Park avenue, Brambleton , at 11 o'clock this morning and will be attended by the Red Men and Odd Fellows, of which organization he was a member. The deceased is survived by a widow and five children; Charles Lee Williamson, Virginia Crockett Williamson, Grace Dorothy Williamson, Laura Lorraine Williamson and P.B. Williamson, Jr. and by two sisters, Mrs. C.F. Yokes and Mrs. J.G. Parker, both of Norfolk. Mr. Williamson was a native of Norfolk and had resided here all of his life. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. Geo. Wesley Jones, of McKendree Church. Virginian Pilot Tuesday July 4,, 1911 The funeral of Peter B. Williamson was held from his late residence, 120 North Park avenue at 11 o'clock a.m. yesterday and was numerously attended, including delegations from the Odd Fellows and Red Men, of which organizations the deceased was a member. The services were conducted by Rev. George Wesley Jones of Mckendree Methodist Church and Rev. Charles H. Galloway of Trinity M.E. Church. During the obsequies Mordaunt Etheridge rendered as a solo "Some Sweet Day Bye and Bye." and a quartet composed of Mordaunt Etheridge, T.R. Taylor, Mrs. W.B. Meredith and Mrs. C.L. Roberts, sang "In the Hour of Trial." There was a wealth of beautiful floral tributes attesting the love and esteem in which the deceased was held in the community. The interment was in Elmwood cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Major Marshall Tarrall, William Spratley, T.B. Jackson, H.O. Billups, H.C. Willis and W.T. Eggleston. The casket was borne by eight colored men.
