Williams was conducted from the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Rev. T. Claggett Skinner, the pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. Robert Gatewood, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The remarks of the pastor were very touching. The beautiful life the deceased had lived was indeed a sermon to every one. The seating capacity of the church was all taken. Among them there were quite a number from Norfolk and Portsmouth. The floral tributes were profuse, among them some very beautiful designs. At the conclusion of the services at the church the remains were followed to Magnolia Cemetery by a long procession of hacks and other vehicles and a host of sorrowing friends. The following were the pallbearers: Messrs. John Whetstone, Charles Gibbs, L. Berkley, E.M. Tilley, M.C. Keeling, C.E. Wicks, J.J. Ottley and Captain C.F. Hudgins.
